NOBLE HAWK GOLF LINKS
TOURNAMENT SERIES & OFFICIAL POINTS SYSTEM
Dear Noble Hawk Golfer:
An important part of the Noble Hawk Mission is to provide a variety of meaningful golf events throughout the year for YOUR enjoyment. FUN is what it is all about so we have developed an extensive menu of events for this golf season. There is something for everyone including Leagues, Junior, Couples, Member only, non-Member, Fun, Serious, Team & Individual events. We even host the ScramBowl which includes both bowling and golf.
As an incentive to participate, we have developed a point system. Those events followed by an asterisk are "Official Points Events". You can receive a point simply by participating, by finishing in the top 4 in an official event, or by winning a closest to the hole "proxy".
In September we will conduct the Eleventh Annual Year End Points Finale for the 12 individuals + ties who accumulate the most points during the season. Everyone who participates in the Finale will win nice prizes including a FREE 2011 Golf Membership for the overall winner (Ron Mettert 2011).
An additional incentive to participate is the opportunity to qualify for the Noble Hawk Ryder Cup Team scheduled to compete vs. Cobblestone on Labor Day weekend 2012. This event will feature a Ryder Cup match play format and will be played Saturday at Noble Hawk and Sunday at Cobblestone. Following is the criteria for qualifying for the 12 person Noble Hawk team: Only Noble Hawk Members may qualify.
Player 1 & Team Captain : 2010 Club Champion
Players 2, 3, 4: High point total through 8/29/12. Handicap 0-6
Players 5, 6, 7, 8: High point total through 8/29/12. Handicap 7-13
Players 9, 10, 11, 12: High point total through 8/29/12. Handicap 14+
This year, the Noble Hawk Staff will contiune to conduct the Tuesday evening league which will feature a scramble format, 25 point scoring system, and cash skins. This league is open to both Members and non-members. Contact the Golf Pro Shop for more info about this exciting and poppular league.

OCTOBER 15: ANNUAL MEMBER APPRECIATION DAY
OFFICIAL POINTS EVENTS ARE INDICATED ABOVE WITH AN ASTERISK.
FOLLOWING ARE THE POINT EARNINGS BASED UPON ORDER OF FINISH IN AN OFFICIAL POINTS EVENT:
1ST = 6 POINTS
2ND = 5
3RD = 4
4TH = 3
All other participants 1 point
2 POINTS WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO WIN PROXIMITY CONTESTS. THERE WILL BE A CLOSEST TO THE HOLE CONTEST ON EVERY PAR 3 IN ALL EVENTS EXCEPT THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP.
The ST JAMES RESTAURANT will sponsor all Proximity Contests and winners will receive St James Gift Certificates.
THE BACKUP SYSTEM WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE PLACEMENT AND POINT EARNINGS.
THE TOP 12 POINT WINNERS (INCLUDING TIES) WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE YEAR END TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS POINTS FINALE. THIS EVENT WILL BE PLAYED FROM THE GREEN TEES (MEN), RED TEES (WOMEN) USING 100% HANDICAP PLUS A BONUS HANDICAP OF 10% OF TOTAL POINTS EARNED.
THE YEAR END TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS POINTS FINALE WILL BE PLAYED ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19.
